Lovecraft spoke up, “..ETA at full impulse would be about 10 minutes or so..” He said.

NE Chalend at comms spoke up, “..I’ve relayed the readings to the transport following us, they confirm it possibly is one of their loss sleeper ships by design.” She said.

William nodded “Alright, give me as much data as you can get before we arrive” He said to his science JO. With all of the senior staff on the planet, he’d have to rely upon the other departments knowing who was best suited for each job, he himself only knew his own staff to that degree.

Ten minutes passed and no readings really changed, eventually they got within visual range of the ship. “..Coming up on the sleeper ship now sir. Ship is adrift and power is fluctuating downward fast, life signs are about 25 likely in stasis on failing emergency power support. How would you like to handle this?” NE Choal asked.

William blinked at the question, he showed no outward signs of being unsure but unsure he was. His inner scientist only wanted to go over and take some sensor readings and learn as much as he could about this technology, sleeper ships were uncommon this day and age and examining one up close would be something to write about “LEt’s try and get their power stabilized. If we can’t do a remote energy transfer we’ll send a team over. Inform the Transport ships of the Sleeper ship status, we don’t know enough about their technology or medicine to attempt to revive them without local aid.”

Unfortunately the sleeper ship seemed to be powered by a series of old styled fusion powered batteries coupled with fossil fuel driven maneuvering jets. While their were access points for fueling up both, the Merrimack lacked any means for remote transfer. The NE at comms spoke up evidently their Alstair transport was maneuvering into position to tow the ship. “..Message from the transport ship sir. They’re going to hard dock with the sleeper ship, and begin towing. They don’t seem aware of the dire straits of the power on the ship though. Should I relay that?” the NE asked.

William nodded “Yes, give them a continuous readout of the sleeper ships power and status” He said in a calm voice despite feeling anything but.

Another NE at the engineering station spoke up,” ..If they can hard dock and supply power, we could tractor both ships then carefully back into the system safely if we wanted..” He said.

William turned the command chair to look at the Engineer station “Can the sleeper ship maintain structural integrity being pulled by a tractor beam?” He asked.
