The First was the first to break the pause in the talks to look to Kord, =/\=..Commander Kord, I am wishing if you could relate a tale of your travels with your Captain to the Council. If such is allowed, the more we know of what is out there the better prepared we might be and the Council better informed to decide how to handle future meetings with your Federation and other powers that your Captain mentioned.=/\= She asked.

Kord stood.

“I’ll tell you what I can.”

Kord then gave an introduction any tour guide service would be proud of. He covered the UFP, the surrounding territories, and the major races outside the UFP that Star Fleet dealt with on a daily basis. He kept everything he said in a neutral information only context with no embellishments. He could have gone on for hours but he did his best to keep it down to about thirty minutes.

Inola did her best to translate new ideas, closing gaps left by the Universal translator.

=/\= You should also probably know that Kord’s travels with his Captain are only a small fraction. He is a 40,000-year-old Cheron, and quite possibly the last of his race. As such, he has a much greater knowledge of the Universe, far beyond that which the UFP Library computers can remember. I just wish that he wasn’t quite so reserved about it. =/\=

There was a collective gasp of surprise and murmur of excitement at the age of Kord. After a moment one of the council advisors a scientific looking Alstairian spoke up. =/\= Amazing Captain! That your Federation holds a member of such a vast range of age! Our own species live to around 1,000 of our years. =/\= There was a pause while the female sketched some numbers on a napkin doing some form of conversion of calculations. =/\= About 1,075 of your local years if I did the calculations right on average!=/\= She said.

=/\= My own race is quite lucky to live to 120 years… =/\= replied Glen. =/\= …but there are a wide range of species within the Federation, t’s a very wide community. =/\=

Another advisor who introduced herself as She’shall spoke then to Ezial, =/\= I am curious Ezial was it? =/\= She asked for confirmation.

Once given she continued. =/\= Your ships are so larger, how do you adapt construction techniques across what sounds like so many different races in your Federation? Do you all accept a standardized format among members? Or is there some other plan at work? =/\= She inquired.
