At this point power came back on fully and systems nearby began to reboot with clicks and whirrs. It seems main power had been restored.

With a buzz, click, and whirrrrrr the engine core finally powered up and took over hand off from secondary power sources system checks and odd wave gestures by the engineering female staff showed they were pleased with what they were seeing.

Tia had been scurrying around from location to location checking boot ups, reboots and connections. As the main core took over, she glanced at Kord. “I think we can go ahead and run full system check and make sure it’s really all up on line and going. Don’t want life support crashing when something else begins.” She moved to the nearest console and took a deep breath.

Glancing at her escort, she nodded and smiled. “Let’s run all your checks and see that everything is all right. Need to know what we have and what we still need to work on.” She had the same line of thought the XO did. No point in claiming ‘all was well’ till they knew for sure.

There was a pause before the UT translated the musical like song reply =/\= Of course, we were just about to do that =/\= The female alien said who Tia had not even gotten her name yet, though given the UT’s trouble on names and places still that was not surprising.

Tia smiled and watched as the woman tapped her fingers over the console. Like their speech, there was a beauty to the symbols on their equipment. And the speed at which the alien manipulated those keys was as equally fascinating as watching her own people work. As the woman worked, she glanced around at the others to be sure everyone was accounted for and doing all right.
