Before Emi’Ko left the conference room, Glen pulled her aside.

Glen turned to the Ship Designer Emi’Ko, “I trust that the repairs all went to your satisfaction and we are okay to leave? I haven’t received the test reports yet. Or, if I have, I haven’t had a chance to open it yet. Could you outline the main findings to me before we leave K-5? I also hope that next time we meet, I will have made a better job of keeping to the Merrimack’s maintenance schedule.”

Kord wondered if the ship designer had found the shielding and energy absorber panels lining the exterior adjacent surfaces of his quarters.

“I’m guessing that any modifications and adjustments have been eliminated and the ship brought back into factory specifications.”

Out her earshot, Glen had a quiet private word with his First Officer, “For the love of mercy, I certainly hope we aren’t reverting to factory specs! There is no way that we want the MAJEL 1.0 operating system re-installed on the computer cores. Or, that original food synthesiser in the galley either. And she knows about the Romulan cloaking device already, but please let’s I hope she doesn’t ever find out that we lost most of decks twelve to fourteen, and were only held together by the flimsiest of force fields!”

“She will just have to understand that sometimes near catastrophic things happen outside the control of people.” Kord replied, “And I agree, we don’t need the old OS or the old synthesizers back.”

OOC: I’m only bumping this because I have no idea why Emi’Ko is still with us. By all rights, she should have left us when the repairs were completed and there is no story given to explain why not. It’s not because she isn’t welcome, it’s just that it doesn’t currently make any sense.
