Tigress and midnight entered the holodeck it was set up to resemble the Van Vihar forest in India. within second of entering the holodeck midnight had taken off into the forest. the big cat loved such activity as the change in scenery was good for the animal. he got bored keeping his mind active was important. She had invited both Ben and the new doctor to join them so she chose to wait by the door for them to arrive if they were going to come>
LT.JG Tigress.

T’Lora moved quietly into the holodeck, spotting Tigeress almost immediately. “Lieutenant. Thank you for inviting me.” She paused to look around. “It is quite beautiful. Where are we?”

” It’s the Van Vihar forest in India. if fact this is a native habitat for tigers. i believe there is a pond and water fall just down the path.” She said

T’Lora nodded, looking around absently. “Fascinating.”

Ben entered the holodeck a minute or two after after T’Lora and spotted both she and Tigeress talking quietly several feet away. He was slightly nervous about being in the presence of a large predator. “Hello, I made it, and I left my phaser in my quarters.” Ben walked over, while looking around, hoping to spot the big cat.

” hi Ben how are you By the way he is behind you” Tigeress said

Ben waited several minutes, anxiously waiting for the cat to appear, but it had apparently something off in the dense vegetation to capture it’s attention or it was wary of strangers. After a couple of more minutes passed, Ben’s stomach rumbled and he realized he hadn’t eaten in several hours and was in need of a shower and some much needed sleep. “Lt. I appreciate the invitation, but I’m going to have to make it another time. I wish I could have seen your tiger, but I’m really in need of some food and a bit sleep right now. Again, thank you.” Ben turned and as quietly as possible exited the holodeck.

Midnight had been behind Ben the entire time. the cat chuffed at him. and block his exist.

Ensign Tigress

Ben turned to leave and as Tigress had said the cat was behind him. He quietly smiled, the cat was exactly where he had expected it to be. He had never heard any movement but knew the cats were masters of stealth and concealment, and it had stalked him perfectly. Ben showed open palms to his sides to show he held no weapons and in a soft voice spoke to the cat, “Yes, you’re a big one, and a silent hunter. I would be honored to hunt with you some day if you would allow it.” Ben slowly and silently edged forward showing the cat that he too could move silently. He continued to speak softly, and stopped about a yard in front of the cat, holding out a hand for the cat to smell.

T’Lora watched him before turning to Tigress. “I know it is common for Humans to expect all animals to understand them, but seeing it in action is always interesting.” She was smiling slightly, Ben reminding her of many of the children she grew up around.

Ben stood by the doors only to see Midnight guarding the door.

She took pity on him, amused. “Come. The three of us will walk, and when we come back, perhaps you will be allowed to leave.” She gestured for him to come back to the two of them.

Ben pets Midnight behind the ears before he joined the group. “Thank you Doctor. I’ve known Midnight for quite some time.”

OOC - To avoid further confusion, let’s call Ben Wilkinson “Wil” from now on.

The tiger sniffed Wil’s outstretched hand, then licked it with a sandpapery tongue. Wil moved up and scratched behind the tiger’s ears, which it seemed to enjoy judging from the reaction when Lt. Park had just done the same thing. The tiger rose and headed back into the overgrowth, then turned and chuffed at Wil, as in bidding him to follow. Turning to look at the other three, Wil nodded and followed the large cat into the lush foliage.

OOC: Reminds me of second grade… we had three Jacksons.

T’Lora looked at him, turning to the others before shrugging. She was pleased with her little act of rebellion, and decided to jog after Wil, catching up quickly. “I see you do well with animals.” she said as she slowed to a walk beside him. “They’ve never liked me.”
