Ben turned the computer monitor around and sat the small bag he had gathered from his quarters on the desk. “Computer, split screen. Security readouts and view of main sensor viewscreen.” He turned to the replicator and ordered a hot, black coffee. He had been up about 13 hours now and the coffee was needed. As he settled down behind the desk and checked the monitor, his thoughts turned to the strangely alluring, lavender haired counselor. He hoped all was okay between her and the CMO. Just from what he observed in sickbay the mood there was not good. He hoped she would still want to meet socially, he should probably check on her and see if she was all right. As he continued to view the monitor he took a sip of the coffee. Sitting the cup down, he tapped his comm badge, “Computer, current location of Ensign Ayeka ?” He took another sip of the scalding hot brew.

OOC : I’m making an assumption here that the counselor is in the Counselors Office as we are still at Yellow Alert. If not please let me know.

Ben nearly choked on his coffee as the ship went to “Red Alert” status. He checked the monitor and saw shields were compromised, and ships offensive weaponry was brought on line. “I guess that thing’s not on the friendly side.” he mused, as he noted the change in ships direction and momentum. Tapping his comm badge he contacted LCdr McGregor on the bridge. “Cdr, Ben here. I’m monitoring the situation, yell if you need anything.” Ben thought about Lydia and hoped she wasn’t alone in her office, thinking she was probably scared right now, he knew he was feeling a bit “nervous” himself. The rapidly cooling cup of coffee sat on the corner of the desk, completely forgotten, as he continued to watch the monitor.

Ben noticed that things were beginning to scale down, weapons back to standby, shields coming back up, etc.. He dumped his now cold cup of coffee in the replicator recycler slot, gathered his bag, and headed for the counselors office to check on her. He left a message for the COS on the monitor and with the ships computer telling the Cdr where he was headed. Checking the time, he noticed he had now been up nearly 16 hours. Yawning, he headed out into the passageway.
