Hi Nathan, welcome back :)

Party is still going on but it is starting to fade out in the face of a sim happening.

The sim started and is taking place as a timeline toward the end of the party, so if you wanted you could be an engineer on the bridge, or arriving on the bridge as the ship, at least in part, went to yellow alert.
