There was no way she could possibly hide the emotions from her face and decided she didn’t care. She very much doubted Orr would be one to mind. She was equally certain that this was probably a regular occurrence with his clients and if he hadn’t learned to handle their inevitable emotions by now, they wouldn’t still be in business.

Was that reassuring? Valleea wasn’t entirely sure. It was the same dilemma she had faced before she had event started this crazy path. It was that knowledge that if he was really out there, he could have found her, could have sent word and relieved her of her misery. But that was not the case and the question of why was one she still felt ill at the thought of.
