Mother of all snips

“I think you would enjoy that.” Chan said simply “Andoria has a lot of different art museums, normal museums and all sorts of places to learn more about our culture.” She added “If you wanted i could be your guide, Sheeah loves the museums to” she said after a short pause.

Magnus nodded with a smile “I’d like that, haven’t been to Andoria since my winter survival training over twenty years ago” He crossed his arms “I grew up in a country of long summer days and long winter nights and some fairly cold weather but few things beat an Andorian Glacier.”

Chan laughed “It was always fun when i was a cadet. Watching all the others try to get to grips with Andorian weather and ice. I was always in front and always looked back to see my fellow cadets struggling. They used to as me how i was so good at winter survival. I juts looked at then and said I’m an Andorian.” she wit a small laugh “However i always made sure everyone made it through.” she added.

Magnus nodded “That’s good, teamwork is important, training exercises like that also help to showcase the potential leadership qualities of officers” He smiled at a memory that suddenly appeared to him “Although I will admit that Winter survival hasn’t come up that often in my career.”

“Nor in mine. However there are so many nasty planets out there. It’s always good to have the training, just in case. I’ve heard a few stories of crews getting stuck on inhospitable worlds, due to accidents or attacks while they where on away missions.” Chan said simply”We need a way to survey planets before we send away teams in. How many people have been lost on away mission, due to unknown factors on the planet/?” She asked but it was rhetorical “I’m not saying don;t send people. i’m saying we should have something to send down first. then we can send people. hat do you think” she asked.

“Well probes can mostly deal with that, but I’ve found that few things can really replace a humanoid surveying a planet. There’s so much more to exploring than numbers on a tricorder. There are such wonderful places out there that can’t be justified with a scan” He shrugged “Well in any case, I think I’ve disturbed you enough Lieutenant” He smiled “I’m glad to have gotten to know you and your daughter a bit better.”
