Sage laughed, “You’re right, I did come alone. Perhaps I can convince you to take ME home with you when you leave the party?” Then she made a sound in her throat like a cat purring and stepped closer. One hand rose to smooth over the cloth of his shiny jacket over is chest area. Her voice lost the ‘I’m just a stranger here’ tone, but not the flirtatiousness. “Babe, you look GOOD! Mmm mmmm”

“Well,” Calvin scanned her body, the exposed bits of skin that were surgical in both being provocative but yet not too revealing. It was a whisper of sexiness that led a man’s fantasy without going anywhere. “I don’t have to look around that there is no one I’d rather be with.”

He then picked up his head. “But I can’t imagine that there isn’t one man.. or woman who wouldn’t be annoyed that I have all of your attention.”

Sage laughed as she leaned in for a kiss. “Well, I think your opinion is biased, but thanks, Babe.” With her arm now around Calvin’s waist, she turned to look out on all the people gathered and their surroundings. “The ice caves are really beautiful.” She caught a glimpse of Marishka not too far away. “So are most of the men and women in here tonight. But some of them are…stunning.”

Marius followed her gaze for a moment locking on Marishka. He nodded slightly, “You say that, because you can’t see yourself right now.” He understood why many found Marishka attractive… she was, but she was more than that.. she was provocative and that was dangerous. And he wasn’t one of the men who liked getting touching a fire to know what it felt to be burned. He had been, and he knew what it felt like.

He rested his hand on her waist, too low to be friendly, too high to be inappropriate. “I’d rather not spend time watching people when I can look at someone much better.”

Sage grinned. “You always say the perfect thing.” It was a moment of complete happiness for her. Leaning her head against Calvin’s chest, Sage took a deep breath and just let the feeling wash over her. “Well, I guess we should mingle some before we steal away. Don’t you think?” It had been a few days since she’d spoken with Riley and the party seemed like a nice place to catch up with her best friend. Besides, David was there too and she liked him a lot. However, knowing that socializing wasn’t Cal’s favorite thing, Sage was hoping he’d take the lead so they could stay together for a little while before duties called them apart.

Calvin grunted in a more positive tone, “Its fine by me, I enjoy looking at you from a distance too. Makes me feel lucky… and tingly…” Not comprehending that she intended to drag him along with her as she socialized. He smiled for a moment and then frowned. “Don’t tell anyone.” the tone lack any semblance of amusement.

He pulled a cigar from his jacket pocket. If she was going to socialized that meant he could smoke his cigar without offending anyone.
