OOC: I thought I’d start a thread that Julien and Riley can continue with when they come to see La’kia

Right on the dot of 60 minutes, Sage was at the door of the Captain’s yacht to pick up her godson. She had a small clutch with her that contained everything she had prepared for La’kia, and a small over-the-body bag with things to amuse A’naad on their afternoon together. Reaching out, she palmed the door chime and waited for her friend.

OOC: La’kia has VIP quarters. It would be too… awkward for them to start in the same quarters.
IC:
“Enter!” came a cheery voice. But Sage would still hear that underlying fatigue. The gravity had clearly been altered too and Sage would have a definite bounce to her step that could cause her to lose balance if she wasn’t careful.

Inside, A’naad squealed with delight as La’kia (who was lying on the floor) had lifted him in the air. He reached his hands out to her and as she lowered him, he rested his little hands on her cheeks. La’kia then blew gently in his face, causing him to laugh before she carefully lowered him and rested him on the floor beside her.

A’naad looked up at the visitor and smiled. “Hi!” he said happily.

“Hi!” Sage beamed a smile at the toddler.

La’kia rolled onto her stomach and grinned. “See? I’m resting…”

When she could tear her eyes from A’naad, she looked at La’kia. “THAT is not resting, but don’t worry. I’m here to pick up my godson and whisk him away for a few hours.” Sage sat down on the floor next to the two. Bringing the clutch forward, she unfastened it to go over the contents with the Zaharan. “There are two hyposprays here. They are both labeled so you won’t mix them up. One is loaded to deliver a preset dose of the safest analgesic for pregnancy that we have now. The second one has an anti-inflammatory in it. I’ve printed out instructions on how often you can dose yourself with them, along with side effects, that if you experience them, you should seek medical attention immediately.”

She saw the look that crossed La’kia’s face. “I don’t expect you to have any difficulties with either medicine. They are very well tolerated by 99.99% of patients. I’ve also made arrangements for one of our medics, NLT Manos, to give you prenatal massage twice a day while you are on the Genesis. She will come to your quarters for it and bring along another JO to entertain A’naad while you receive the treatment.”

Now she pulled out a small PaDD for personal use. “Remember I said you might want to try acupuncture? I’ve downloaded information on how to do it and the the tools used for it, so you might want look up a neurologist or homeopathic healer when you get back home. All the information they need is here. There’s also a stretching regimen that will help elongate your muscles and tendons. It might be enough to alleviate some of the pain you’re having.”

“The last thing is a list of Doctors I would trust to handle the birth. If you’re on Earth, there shouldn’t be a problem, but if you’re somewhere else? Well, I’ve included details of what happened when A’naad was born so whoever might be with you will know what they’re up against.”

She looked at her friend very seriously. “Do your best to be on Earth. Okay?”
