Freddy entered the security suite not wearing his uniform but a set of PT sweats bearing the logo of the USS Genesis. It was zero dark too early for ninety percent of the crew. The other ten percent were security who tended to still participate in PT like they did back in the academy. While many positions in Starfleet allowed one to get softer in the middle as the years progressed in their career paths, security always was fit as a fiddle. “Phew,” Freddy said, “I am so glad I didn’t missed you all.” In a rather comical fashion, Freddy stretched as if he was entering an aerobics class instead of a security PT drill. “So what is on the menu today? Sit ups, pull ups, running? I do hope running. I love a good marathon before dawn.”

An older NE snorted. “Marathons? There ain’t enough space on the ship outside of the holodeck to run one of them.”

“Not to mention you’d drop dead by mile five, Sanders,” a younger NE joked.
