This evening was one of those evenings when Julien had a late shift and still had to work, while Marishka was already off duty. So it was even more surprising when her door suddenly swished back and Julien came in, looking as if somebody had just died.

Marishka had been preparing for bed thinking she would see Julien later that night, or in the morning, she was surprised to see him walk through the door and the look of him startled her.

Stepping close, “And what can I do for you this evening? Please don’t tell me nothing, because that look says a lot.” she said quietly.
