Petty Officer David Heath and Crewman Thomas Woo looked at the deck around the shuttle that was littered with parts. The rear engine hatch was open and within an empty space that had once housed the impulse engine. A grav crane was at the rear engine hatch. Nearby was the main engine housing. Surrounding it were parts taken from it. A pair of legs stuck out from where the engine had been and another ensign was kneeling beside the engine assembly removing a part from it to place down on the deck. Heath looked at the orderly line of parts. “This going back together again?”
Woo tipped his head to one side, “Two slips that we have parts left over. Let’s get that rig out of the way then get the diagnostic unit over for Bat to check the deuterium sensors.”

Sebastian, a smallish man with round glasses over blue eyes. His non descript look was balanced by intelligent eyes and clean shaven looks. Focusing on Kylie, he waved her over. “Chief said you were coming. Ensign Brecker is it? I’m Sebastian and the half man there is Bat.” A blue hand waved from under the shuttle. He pointed to the others. “This is David and Thomas. They’re part of the Bay service crew. Chief said you said you like to get your hands dirty. What meets your fancy - deuterium sensors, corroded couplings, or general maintenance?”

Kylie walked over to where the others were. She looked at the array of pulled off parts from the shuttlecraft and chuckled softly before she nodded. “Yes I am Ensign Brecker. A pleasure to meet you all.” She paused and listened to the rest of his questions. “If you don’t mind I’ll take the deuterium sensors. Though it’s odd for this to happen…” She said as she moved to the back watching the others as they work.
