It was several days after the conversation she had with Ben at one in the morning. She had been debating on talking to the consuler at it. She felt nurvaus and excited also anxious about the realization that Ben liked her in that way. Huminoids were to complicated for her even her own emotions throw her for a loop sometimes. Thow half of her was woryed that she would get a lecture for being in the Zooalogy lab well past her shift. Then again she was also past dew for her annual phycalogical evaluation.

She took a deep breath as she finally reached the consuler’s office. Then she rang the chime . There was no turning back now.

Riley looked up from the PADD he was reading when the chime sounded. He didn’t have any more appointments scheduled for the afternoon, but it wasn’t uncommon for a member of the crew to drop by.

“Come,” he said, laying the PADD down and standing from his desk to greet his unexpected visitor.

Tigress stepped into the door. She looked at Riley the exspretion on her face a mixture of excitement and anxiety. “ good afternoon Consuler how are you, I hope I’m not bothering you?” Tigress said. She tryed her best to keep her voice conversational and keep the growing storm of emotion she felt from showing. Witch I hindsight was pretty pointless given Riley’s abilities.

“Never,” he assured her, the excitement she felt palpable to the empath. “Take a seat and out with it. I can tell you’ve got something to share.”

He was all smiles, hoping this has something to do with the aftermath of her dinner with Ben.

“ well… ummm” Tigress said as she took a seat. She took a deep breath to calm herself before continuing. “ I…umm well ok I fell asleep wail working past my shift again. Please don’t lecture me for it anyway Ben came into Zooalogy around one In the morning. Her brought a present and we talked he wants us to date I think the turm is “ Tigress said her anxiety quickly outweighing her excitement. “ the thing is I’m not shure its allowed he out ranks me I think there are rules against it also He is far more of a social butterfly then I am I don’t see it working well” Tigress said.

Tigress looked at the ground. How could she explain that she did not think she was right for him. She did not feel she could make him happy. He deserved better then her there were plenty of far more atractive females on the ship. It hurt to admit to herself but she did not belong anywhere.
