As the young ensign is going to sickbay to work she then realized that she forgot she is also a sub DH for science. She wanted to get things done at sickbay so she can do her job.

Vanessa walked into sickbay looking for the first doctor available. At a quick glance, she looked absolutely fine. Her color was good. She had no cough or fever. It was only when someone looked at her thumb, the reason for her visit would be apparent. At the base of her right thumb, a large purple-green bruised seemed to encircle her finger like a thumb ring. The area was swelling slightly indicating she had probably sprained it. “Hello,” Vanessa walked up to the nearest doctor. “Do you have time to check this out or should I come back later,” she held up her hand for the doctor to see the injury.

“No come on in Lt. What can I do for you?” Miss Angel asked the CNS. “I am currently available right now. So go ahead and sit on a bio bed and tell me what happened.” She said.
