=^= Dagen to Lt Chen. Would you have anything that might assist in a communications tap, or a drone that may be more covert than overt to have a spin through the system? I’m sending the data on their sensors which are glorified old radar. They should not be difficult to create a foil for that on the drone to be essentially invisible. =^=

“NE Spark. Get prototype x-117 from the storage room.” Chan ordered. the prototype wasn’t 100% finished but it was very close to being so. She knew she could probably get it working and cloaking it wouldn’t be to hard.

Dagen considered that timing. Loads of time technically. That shuttle wouldn’t get to their destination for another couple of hours. Anything they could deploy would be easily inside that time frame. =^= I’ll be there. We’re well within any kind of time window here for their speeds. =^=

=^= Acknowledged=^= Chan said before closing the com. just as she did NE Spark came back with the drone. It was a small device about the size f a A3 piece of paper. it had repoulser engines on the bottom and was black in color. “Run a full check” Chan ordered. The scan showed the only think missing was the forward facing refraction camera and the power cell. easy things to come by. After twenty minutes Chan had installed the power core and the camera. She ran a quick test on the scanners and then the camera’s. the drone was ready to go.

“Activate refraction cameras” Chan ordered and the drone appeared to vanish. “Good now we just need to wait for the CE.” she added.

It was not long after that when Dagen entered. Without a lot of ‘action’ watching a shuttle shuffle its way along in space was almost painful to watch. But it gave them needed time. Halting just inside to get his bearings, he spotted Chan and Sparky. Winding his way over he gave a brief synopsis of things. “Away team is on their flagship and the talks are going okay. From the sound of some of it it is more like a pre teen dance where nobody wants to really cross the floor to ask the girl to dance. They have tried scanning us and we’ve waved back at them. Apart from that they launched an armed shuttle with only a few on board - they said it was a diplomatic shuttle that was expected but were surprised that it was there when we said we saw it. The XO is thinking we need a little more information to work with.” That said, he asked, “What have we got?”

“This” Chan said gesturing to the empty looking space on the table “This is what we can use to scan the system with no trouble. I’ve changed the power signature so it will be invisible to there sensors.” She said as she pressed a button on her padd. The probe shimmered into view. it flickered and then was fully visible.

“I’ve installed refracting camera so it will blend in with the area around it. so not only is it invisible to their sensors but also invisible to the naked eye.” Chan said smiling.

Dagen bent in to have a closer look as though that would give him a better idea of the micro-components involved in the construction of this. “What is its propulsion? Any heat signatures to pick up?” Something that small wouldn’t be really noted unless they physically ran into it. “Lets give it a whirl. Prepare to launch it. Do you need to monitor it’s transit? I’ll get back up and let the XO know we’re setting out a probe. Nice little beast, Chan.”

“Repulsor engines. Virtually undetectable. Slow but in space as long as this thing has moment it will keep going.” Chan said simply.

“It would be wise to keep an eye on the data stream. Besides f you think this is a beast you should see some of the other stuff i have.” she said after a short pause.

Dagen let out a sidelong grin. “My mother’s cat was known as the ‘little beast’, even though it slept through 90% of the day. It had momentum in napping. Go forward in deploying. You might as well come to the bridge and monitor the data stream from there and be more in the action. I’m sure the XO would like to see what it can do and firsthand of what you might uncover.” He waited for a nod or something. “I’ll meet you up there.”

Chan nodded “I’ll get up there once I’ve deployed the drone. Hopefully it will give us all the information we need to know” She said as she started to load the drone ready for transport.
