Ben checked into the Security office and noted all was in order and working there. He had just checked the bridge Security station and now was headed for the Auxiliary Bridge to check on things there. He was really excited about his upcoming breakfast date with T’Lora at the end of this shift. All was good in the Aux. Bridge so he headed down to hangar bays. He found himself humming an old earth tune he had heard at the Academy, “Stay’in Alive” by a group of brothers of some kind. Tune was catchy and had he been sure he was alone he might have danced down the corridor to the turbolift. The fact that an away team might be departing soon weighed on his mind,.... he was indirectly responsible for everyone’s safety on the Genesis. “I hope they don’t run into any major problems,” he muttered under his breath as he entered the hangar bay where the shuttle was kept. It looked like a couple of engineers were doing maintenance tasks, but otherwise everything looked normal.

Ben continued his rounds, he had no set route or schedule, preferring to show up in areas at odd times, but tried to cover all areas at least once during a shift. The tune kept running through his head and he realized that for the first time in a long time, he was happy. T’Lora seemed to be interested in him and he certainly was in her, he hoped the relationship continued to develop. He was currently headed to the Xenobiology lab, he wanted to thank Tigress in person for making the invitation to meet Midnight, and inviting T”Lora as well, an opportunity he truly appreciated, and he wanted the chance to meet up with Midnight again.

Ben stopped by the Xeno-biology lab and asked for Tigress, but was told she was elsewhere at the moment. He had heard that Caitians liked jewelry, so he had obtained a bracelet that was made of bronze with several brightly colored stones set in it. He placed the box with the bracelet in it on Tigress’s desk, along with a brief thank you note. “Could you please make sure that she gets this.” Ben said to the tech who had originally greeted him. Next stop was the bridge, and then breakfast with T’Lora.
