Thomas let out an anticipatory breath as he walked into one of the Holosuites on Deck 10. Not many used them, preferring the larger holodecks, but for his (rather solitary) needs, they were more than sufficient.

Before him was a training facility of his own design: a treadmill, a rowing machine and a stair-stepper, all looking out large floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of San Francisco Bay, then free weights, a bench press, a lat-pull and a squat rack on the back wall, and on the wall opposite the windows, a firing range with a variety of targets and weapons.
