Nodding slowly, Zorell exhaled and looked up towards the ceiling. At least that made the space a bit bigger. The pain was a strange factor in this and she knew that if there was going to be some sort of flashback or trigger for one, it would play a part. Casting her maroon eyes at Avik, she wasn’t entirely sure what to say but she knew she needed to stay focused on anything other than their predicament. “I need to keep myself distracted,” she said simply, unsure whether to elaborate or not. If she did, would that make things even more awkward between them.

Avik turned to Zorell, overhearing her request for a distraction. She considered a few options, but they depended on how well she knew the science officer. It occurred to her that she barely knew anything-outside a basic report and brief experience- about the female before her. The XO took a deep breath then asked a simple thought-provoking question.

“Do you have a favorite holodeck program? I enjoy zero-gravity climbing as it challenges my mind and is physically demanding.”

Vora inhaled slowly, breathing through the pain. “I’m not a huge fan of the holodeck, but when I do go I have a rock-climbing program I enjoy. Never done zero-gravity. What’s the difference in how your work within it?” she asked with a sincere amount of curiosity.
