She shook her head. “Not really. If anything, it’ll be trying to drag my son in here for a check-up as well, but that’s easier now because he’s somewhat working with the crew. We can make it mandatory,” she said with a grin.

The Andorian chuckled and nodded. “I’ll have him pulled in for mandatory evaluation, No worries.”

Her expression shifted and Vora was extremely pensive for a moment. “I…” She trailed off, not knowing how to begin this one thing in her head. “When I lived on Tenra, I got very ill and as a result I was told I could never have anymore children. But that was on Tenra. I don’t know that I want anymore children, or that my partner does as it’s not something that has really come up. But it might sooner or later. I guess… being in the Federation with better medical technology, it would make sense to see if from your perspective my ability to carry a child if I wanted was actually possible or not.”

His antennae quested to and fro thoughtfully as he considered this request. “I’m not sure I have an answer for you, but I am certainly willing to gather as much information as I can to make a prognosis. Off the top of my head, I’d need to take several in-depth scans of you and your partner, and I’d require as much medical information about your species as I can get my hands on.” Here he smiled. “My people cannot procreate without the participation of all four genders, so I may know a thing or two about the difficulties of conception. Talk to your Partner and if you two wish to proceed, we can begin taking scans and doing research.”

Vora nodded slowly. There were quite a few serious conversations her and Johann were going to have to have, but this one might be harder. She knew the scarring was permanent from a Tenraith perspective, but how much did it matter if he didn’t want children of his own? She could go either way with it really, since she had given up on having another baby a long time ago, and having Jerrin in her life in any way had been rather incredible. That could be enough, right?

“Anyway, that was all I had for questions,” she said softly.

Tolar smiled, but there was a hint of care in it. It wasn’t the first time he’d been asked such a question, and he knew the answers were not always as kind as the thought behind them. “Understood. Would you like some tea to take along?”

She offerred him a small smile. “Sure, that would be really nice,” Vora said with another nod. All in all, she had to admit that this had been a prety nice visit as far as Sickbay was concerned. It helped that there wasn’t anything crazy going on with her and everything was pretty routine, but still, her old anxiety was probably nver going to go entirely away. It just simply… was.
