The Andorian feigned shock and put a hand to his heart, or where a human would assume his heart was. “Surely Hell has frozen over.” He commented, producing a medical Tricorder, and motioning with his other hand that the Captain take a seat wherever he wished. The limp which slowed him in the corridors didn’t seem to trouble Tolar much while he went about his medical business.

A thespian! Johann thought as he took a seat that was in the vague area that the Doctor had indicated.

He began waving the hand scanner to and fro, turning to punch a command into the chosen Biobed, which would undoubtedly begin some other sort of scan, possibly with a beep or whine of some kind accompanying said scan. “Have you had any pain lately? Mood Swings? Anything out of the Ordinary?”

-Zarath, CMO

“Nope,” the Captain said simply.

The scans did not indicate anything particularly out of the ordinary. The Captain seemed to be in pretty good health for a human man who was about to turn 42 years old in a week.

Even his ocular implants, which had in the past been a source of trouble, seemed to be working optimally. His medical records would indicate that Dr. Jas, one of the prior CMOs on this ship, had replaced them about 7 or 8 years ago due to a hardware failure.

The Andorian’s antennae curled inward a bit, and he feigned annoyance. “Well, Damn. Here I thought this was going to be an interesting assignment.” He grinned ruefully and continued. “I can’t find a single reason not to clear you medically for active duty.” For a moment, a serious look entered Tolar’s expression. “If those implants cause you any discomfort, I expect you to let me know… I’m familiar with prosthetics of many kinds, and though I understand the necessity, I do worry about the long term effects.” The Doctor decided not to harangue the Captain any further. “Well sir, you’re cleared for Duty and free to go, I know you’re a busy man.”

-Zarath, CMO

Johann smirked slightly at the comment about Europa being an interesting assignment, but did not end up commenting on it.

“Nah, I’ve gotten pretty used to them over the years. Had a few problems with them earlier on, even had the first set replaced, but I’ve adjusted well. I usually forget that I’m blind now, except for when I have the occasional dream or nightmare.”

He hopped off of the bed.

“How are you settling in, anyway?”

– Johann Dvorak, CO

The Andorian nodded. “That’s good to hear, prosthetics can be… temperamental. My lower leg still acts up now and then, not that it was ever fully functional, thanks to the nerve damage.” The Doctor leaned on a console to take some weight off his leg, subconsciously. “As for settling in, I’m doing just fine. You keep a healthy crew, and so far you seem to have a knack for not breaking them during away missions… This might end up being a rather boring assignment.” Tolar chuckled dryly. “It’s nice to be on a small ship again, and the people in hydroponics have been kind enough to allow me to keep a small garden of tea plants. Speaking of… Would you like some tea?”
