She pressed her lips together as she concentrated, trying to find out if there were other records of transmission of the disease from saliva or if it was blood transmitted. Then she wanted to check the files specifically marked with the symbol to find similarities that might indicate why they were marked. Was there any indication on how the First officer got this mysterious illness in the files? She looked for that too.

“I am still gathering information Lt Commander, but it looks like possibly an illness overcame the crew, one that caused extreme aggression. No indication as yet on how it came on board or how it was transmitted though I have a theory on the latter. Stand by, I am still determining what all can be found.”

OOC:

-All the marked files related to those infected. It appeared the medical staff had been trying to trace all those infected and contain the damage.

-Most of the blood tests indicated negative on the infection being present. Saliva tests showed a positive, hinting that the illness spread through bites or bodily fluids. Additional tests hadn’t finished before the end dates on the logs.

-The First Officer’s files mentioned symptoms showed weeks after their last stop. The chief medical officer suspected it originated at… the rest of the file looked corrupted.

IC: As Abrams investigated the sickbay, nothing unusual stuck out. A few cracked data pads, tossed supplies, and other things reconfirming there had been a struggle here.

Avik listened to Nox and patiently waited for the woman to finish, her eyes watched the screen for a few more moments. The sound of someone coming down the corridor caught her attention. It made her freeze in place as she listened again, determining it wasn’t her imagination running wild. This time, it echoed through the vent. Avik snapped her head to the CoS. It asked one simple question: What was that?

Cassidy made her way back to the duo, but unfortunately wasn’t close enough at the time to hear whatever Avik was hearing, or not hearing, as the case may be. “Just more signs of some sort of fight. Whatever bad happened, definitely went down here.”
