Sienna swallowed hard and sat back on her ankles, looking at the two women. One showed worry, the other, caution which for her, was worry. Not able to speak right away, she nodded that she was okay and lifted a shaking hand to wipe away tears from her cheeks, leaving streaks of dust on some spots. She cleared her throat and nodded again, “Yes. It was just surprising and a bit painful.” She downplayed the chaos of the moments earlier, but it was clear it had affected her. “If we wanted confirmation something bad happened… we just got it. There was a great deal of pain and confusion. I think…” She paused, contemplating what she had felt. “I think they realized what was going on in the end and felt a great anger about it. Like maybe they were betrayed? Or an enemy descended on them out of the blue and when they realized it, they were filled with rage. Then nothing. The rage came shortly before their destruction I imagine, unless they were all transported off.”

The last was an unlikely scenario but Sienna could hope. Granted, if they had been transported off, it was unlikely they would be happy with where they ended up given the pain and anger before the silence. She stood up. “I couldn’t tell if the threat came from the interior or exterior of the ship. I want to process it more.”

IC:

“This is more evidence as to why I am cautious with emotions,” Avik stated quietly, putting her tricorder away.

She rose up, allowing Nox a bit to collect herself, then pressed her comm badge.

=Avik to the bridge. We’ve made it to the medical bay. Nox appears to have tapped into some of the crew’s experience on the ship. It confirms something bad happened, but we’re still looking into the details. We’ll keep you updated when we find something.=^=

She turned to the consoles and moved to the nearest one. Her voice spoke to the Counselor as she began to access the system.

“When you’re feeling up to it, Nox, I can use your help.” Immediate after she stated it, the screen began to pull up files written in Klingon. Avik waited patiently for Nox to relay her findings.

Sienna looked up and nodded. She was shaken from her experience, but not enough to deter her from doing her duty. She walked to the screen and examined the contents, checking her translation in the PaDD as necessary.

OOC: Here’s the first set of information/clues that pops up, the patient files. If Nox is looking for anything specific, feel free to hint at it in the IC or ask OOCly. Some files are corrupted so not all the information will be in the medical bay.

Patient Cases show the most drastic changes at the week’s end, before all logs stop abruptly.
-Increase in patients coming in.
-Some required to be restrained and staff are required to wear protective gear.
-Some patients have records of wounds indicating combat or incidents outright mentioned. One specifically indicates they were bitten by another crew member who died later.
-First officer is among the first to die. Toward the end, the medical staff takes heavy casualties.
-Blood work shows only a large increase in white blood cells on several files marked with an unfamiliar symbol, possibly a way to single them out.

Seeing that things were momentarily under control, Cass began to move to the back again to check things out there. “Just going to peek back here. The med bays are rarely big, so I’m not going far. I should still be able to hear you if you call for me.”

Abrams, COS

She pressed her lips together as she concentrated, trying to find out if there were other records of transmission of the disease from saliva or if it was blood transmitted. Then she wanted to check the files specifically marked with the symbol to find similarities that might indicate why they were marked. Was there any indication on how the First officer got this mysterious illness in the files? She looked for that too.

“I am still gathering information Lt Commander, but it looks like possibly an illness overcame the crew, one that caused extreme aggression. No indication as yet on how it came on board or how it was transmitted though I have a theory on the latter. Stand by, I am still determining what all can be found.”
