OOC: I figured it made more sense to start a new thread for this than to try to make sense of the old one.

Lia peeked into Sickbay as the doors opened upon her approach. It seemed like it was fairly quiet at the moment, which hopefully meant that she could complete her boarding medical evaluation as expediently as possible and move on to reporting for duty with hew department head. She stepped through the doors and then flagged down a nearby nurse to inquire whether a doctor was available.

“Come in, Ensign.” a gravelly voice called from the office section of the Sickbay. The Andorian Doctor wasn’t looking at her but was examining the readout of a scan on one of his wall-mounted viewing screens, taking notes on a PaDD. How he knew who it was and what rank she wore was left mysteriously unsaid. “I’ll be with you momentarily, please make yourself comfortable.”

Lia pondered the question of how he knew her rank without looking at her for a brief moment before mentally shrugging and making her way to a nearby biobed. She boosted herself up onto it and swung her feet from side to side as she waited for the CMO to have the moment to complete her evaluation.
