Spotting the executive Officer, Range nodded, and let her run the show. He was here to make certain Pondbottom was brought in per the Captain’s orders, and to return with the information that had been uncovered. There was no need to stress unless she decided to try and use whatever weapon it was that she was concealing.Range Cos
Abrams nodded to her boss but while he was there (and she was grateful), her orders had been to protect the XO, so that’s what she was there to do.
Pondbottom turned and fired at the first officer “I’m not going anywhere.” She said loudly “You have no idea what is going on around here.” She said continuing to back away “You’re going to leave me alone and I’m going to leave this hell hole.” She said

Cassidy found herself pushing Avik out of the way as her hand drew her phaser and she fired a stun shot at Pondbottom using her impeccable aim. They were done with games and luckily for them, Pondbottom made the answer quite easy. “Or maybe not quite the way you think,” she said calmly.
Ensign Abrams, Security
Avik knew Pondbottom had a high percentage when it to being hostile but the XO had decided to risk it. Percentages were never full guarantees become of independent behavior. That unpredictable factor often altered the numbers in odd ways.
When the woman lifted her weapon then fired, the XO tensed then tried to move. She found herself frozen to the spot until Abrams’ arms clashed with her body causing a shift in balance. The force had managed to shove Avik out of the way just in time. The vulcan’s feet skidded. They quickly adjusted their location, moving her from her original place, until she found her balance again. She was fortunate enough to not have fallen into the ground. Her head snapped into the direction her escort had fired in just to see if Abrahams had hit her mark.

Abrams shot rang true and knocked Pondbottom down and left her unconscious, her bag fell open next to her and the contents started to spill on the ground next to her. The diminuitive woman’s breathing was normal and there was only a small phaser burn on her shoulder.

Relief flooded through Cass as she knew that, at least for the moment, the situation had calmed. Moving cautiously over to Pondbottom, she knelt down, keeping only the side of her body facing the woman and went to check her pulse. All the while, her right hand still had her phaser at the ready. “Her breathing is fine. What did she drop?” she asked Avik, gesturing to the contents that fell out of the bag. If it was on the ground, it was safe for them to examine as evidence.
Ensign Abrams, Security
Carefully Avik approached the location determined by Abrams, her eyes narrowed upon the item dropped. She bent at the waist then gently spread out the contents that were upon the ground. She intended to organize the usual items from the day to day expectations. However, Avik didn’t touch anything as she examined them at a distance. She then glanced at Range for either guidance or permission before she contacted the CO about retrieving their target.
Her hand pulled up to then contact the bridge. =^=Avik to Dvorak, we have Pondbottom in custody.=^=

=/\= Understood. Prepare to beam up. =/\=
– Johann Dvorak, CO
Range nodded at the Executive officer, and then flashed a good job kid smile at Cassidy, and a wink. It was an almost fatherly gesture of pride in his people.
“Gather anything she dropped it is evidence, Cass” Range said agreeing with Cass. As well for the first time he called her something other than Ensign or Abrams. The large man turned towards the Executive Officer.
“Commander based on Evidence I have collected I believe the Captain will also want to have a Conversation with the Governor about certain citizen’s living accommodations.” Range stated holding up the copy of the video the Security Director had provided him. Range was only mentioning it to be proactive, and not have to come back for the Governor, but understood it was the Executive Officers Call to make.
