The turbo lift opened and Franklin stepped out into the main engineering section of the klingon ship. He moved to the right of the doorway to allow Adrie to come out with him, but he didn’t move forward until he’d scanned a bit first. His blue eyes immediately went to the warp core… Surely it’d have to be low on fuel after a whole century of running without maintenance…

Lia glanced at the tricorder Franklin had opened and then finally snapped her own open as well, unwilling to rely on his ability to communicate rapidly if there was an issue. She balanced it in one hand such that she could keep her weapon at the ready, should any life signs appear on the device.

Adrie, Sec

“No life signs.” Franklin said quietly, moving further into Main Engineering. “Let’s get a look at the Warp Core…” He made his way slowly toward the core, taking readings as he went. “You ever met a Klingon, Adrie?” He asked casually, blue eyes still on his tricorder.

Lia followed Franklin to the warp core, biting back a remark about how little interest she had in it and instead opting to turn her back to it such that she could keep an eye on the area behind him. “Uh, yes,” she commented, somewhat taken aback by the question. “Why?”

Franklin snorted softly. “I was gonna comment on what a pleasant bunch of folks they are…” He muttered with a chuckle, sweeping the tricorder around to get more readings on the core. “Their technology is just as pleasant. They don’t go in for redundancy a lot of the time, pretty damn sparse…”

Lia smirked. “Simple, but effective can be good, you know,” she commented, glancing over her shoulder at Franklin as he worked on his scans before quickly returning her attention to their surroundings.
