“Well… you remember tha-” whatever he was going to say was interrupted by the first comm call from the Away Team.

=^= Avik to Europa. So far, we’ve found more questions than answers. According to the records, they all stop on the earth calendar March 26th, 2274. No explanation to why. We’re splitting up into two groups. One heading to sickbay and other heading to engineering. The Chief of Security thinks it’s a good idea for you to keep a signal trace on all us at all times and I agree with this. Something happened, but we don’t know what… yet. =^=

“Better take this,” the Captain said as he pressed the comms button on the chair.

“Did anything particularly interesting happen on or around that day in 2274?” He asked Marsh. “I mean, I can’t think of anything off the top of my head happening that year.”

“Well it depends on what you call interesting, I can pull up the ones that might have sector wide impacts… I know off the top of my head the V’ger incident happened around then.” Marsh looked at the computer screen. ” The Kettaract Incident incident occurred in the Lantaru sector, but that’s classified to Captain’s eyes only.” Marsh was now quite interested, it came up in a search but wouldn’t let him open it.

“Oh, right, that thing that was actually Voyager-7,” the Captain said. “Did it pass through here? I mean, it did encounter a small flotilla of Klingon ships, and disintegrated them all, right?”

“I have the hypothetical course track put up. We have the contact with the klingons, the science station as well as Earth so that should make a good line. But the ships that V’ger engaged were pretty much vaporized that Klingon ship is pretty rickety.. but it isn’t vaporized.” He tilted his head… “although I guess its possible that V’ger didn’t destroy the ships but perhaps it transported them across the galaxy. Klingons aren’t renown for their forensics.” Marsh also pulled up the names of the Klingon ships that engaged V’ger

“Yeah, but I’m pretty sure that we are known for our forensics, and we never did find that science station ever again. Besides, didn’t the Enterprise have that woman who got vaporized and then she was put back together again as some kind of weird cyborg or something? You know, the one that guy ended up vanishing into light with.”

Obviously the knowledge level of Starfleet history in this conversation was very high.

“I’m like 99% sure you don’t need to worry about that Kettaract thing. In fact, I think I’m supposed to order you not to worry about it and pretend like that entry didn’t even show up on your monitor.” Dvorak thought that the so called ‘Omega Directive’ was incredibly stupid, but it was what it was.

Well that just made him more interested. “Well it didn’t say anything, but the computer identified it as a sector wide incident.”

“Ehhh…” the Captain said awkwardly. “The computer is just being excessive. If it was relevant… we’d all already know that. We don’t know that, so I know it’s not relevant. Believe me.”

Mattie listened with only a slight interest “I may be a bit out of date on my history, but why did Voyager attack the Klingon flotilla?” She asked as she continued to monitor the engines to make sure there was no more tomfoolery going on with them.

“I think they shot torpedoes at it when it crossed into their space,” the Captain said. “Wait, no… because they did the same stuff to our station and almost did the same thing to the Enterprise. You know, I don’t actually remember why it was attacking things. I just remember that Kirk and crew figured out how to send it radio or something and it stopped being a jerk.”

“You know, I don’t know if any of this is relevant either,” Johann shrugged. “It’s entirely possible that this is an novel situation where historical facts that we have access to will tell us nothing much useful, aside from the fact that this ship is really, very old.”

He turned to Marsh after thinking about this more. “We don’t have a… Klingon personnel database in there or something, do we? I kinda don’t want to call the Klingons because I suspect it’ll take forever to get an acknowledgement, let alone any kind of answer.”
