With Pondbottom in custody, Governor Evergreen was left with a dilema how to handle the ignored people of the colony. He sent a message to Dvorak and withdrew their petition to become members of the Federation at this time, he admitted that they were not as ready as he had thought and in light of Pondbottoms’ behavior he felt that it was best to wait and figure out how to become members at a later time.

With that missive being sent to the Europa, the animals were sent through the transporters and removed from the ship. Repairs would take time but they were not significant and would not take a great deal of time.
