For a second, she simply looked at him, wondering what he was meaning for she knew he had some other meaning rather than talking about dancing. Then the light bulb sparked and she looked around, taking in where she was in relation to him and their destination. “Ah, I see.” She wondered if she should move right away. He was close to her now and she could feel the sizzle in the air of attraction she felt for him. Yet they hadn’t even made it to their date, much less through it. Perhaps it was too early for those thoughts. So she smiled. “I appreciate the compliment.” She said as she turned, as gracefully as she had before and took his arm once more. Now out of the way, they could continue onto their destination.

That was… something… he thought satisfactorily.
He proceeded down the corridor with her at his side. “Anyway, he’ll probably be gone for a couple weeks due to the procedure,” continuing the conversation about the Captain. “That will leave me in command until then. The big secret meeting is for us to finalize all of those arrangements.”
She nodded. That kind of time in Command would be very good for Johann’s career. If he handled himself well during those few weeks, he would be seen as a viable candidate for his own ship. Most XO’s didn’t get that kind of trial before they became Captain. Most XO’s never got the chance to prove their metal that way.
Before them in the corridor, were the distinctive heavy duty double doors leading to their intended location. The label,on the door was clearly visible: “Holodeck 1”
“Shall we?”

‘Oh yes. I am ready to see what you have come up with for our date.” She was excited. It had been a while since she had been catered to by someone. Johann had thus far been charming, funny, and intriguing. She had to wonder what Fate had in store for them now that they were on a path together, but such long term thoughts and plans were put on hold as she turned her attention to the holodeck doors, eager to see what place Johann had decided for their date.

He walked towards the doors, and they lumbered open, revealing the familiar yellow-on-black Holodeck grid. He made a point to walk pretty close to the center of the room. The door shut behind them.
“Oh,” he said, as if he had forgotten something. Casually, he handed her a pair of sunglasses. “You might want to put these on first. I don’t really need them.” If she did choose to wear them, she would find that they fit her face perfectly.
Sienna walked in behind Johann and took the offered sunglasses with a wide smile. She wasn’t surprised that they fit her perfectly. She couldn’t keep the smile off of her face and wasn’t at all shamed by her enjoyment of a good old fashioned surprise.
=/\= Computer, resume program. =/\= The computer obliged, acknowledging the situation with a series of tweeps and twerps.
The standard whoosh of the Holodeck scene rendering was quickly lost in the crashing of a wave against the shore that they were now standing on. The warmth of the golden sand that had they were now standing in was cooled by the white foam from the ocean almost sooner than they could notice. The room had vanished, replaced by the sun illuminating the world… whichever world this was. It was a world with a light blue sky, and no clouds in it. The beach itself seemed to extend forever in every direction except what must have been the west, which was occupied by both the sea and whichever star this planet orbited.

Her happy smile changed to a suitable o of surprise and then back again. The sandy beach where they were standing was rolled over by the smallest vestiges of crashing waves, soaking her feet and making them sink a little in the pristine sand. She rotated slowly, taking in how beautiful this place was. Wind ripped gently at the tendrils of her dark hair and caused the skirt of her beach dress to billow around her legs. Then she turned her face up towards the sun, enjoying the warmth, however manufactured. For her, the magic of the holodeck was real enough. Sienna loved it.
“This is very lovely. Where is it?”
