“Uhh, sure…” the nameless ensign repeated, tapping some additional information into the console.

A moment later, Johann’s public calendar appeared on the screen. More than a few moments later, after multiple misspellings, Vora’s appeared right next to it. There was a lot less clutter on her calendar.

“This is the earliest time you both have nothing scheduled. How much time do you want to use?”

Johann looked at Vora. “Two weeks?”

Vora nodded. “Yeah, that would work. Plenty of flexibility for travel. ” Now that they were actually setting this up, she found herself getting rather excited. She glanced at Johann with a gleam in her eyes.

The nameless ensign kept typing, and in a moment both calendars showed that their owners would be on leave during that period.

“72665 to 72701,” he said a moment later. “Is there anything else I can do for you, sir?”

“That’s all for me,” Johann said.

“Ma’am?”

“No, thank you. That’s all for me,” Zorell said with a bow of her head.

Leaving Operations, she had a wide grin on her face that she couldn’t wipe off if she tried. Entering the trubolift, Vora called out. “Commercial Deck.” The lift thrummed as it moved down through the station and she once again gazed at Johann. But, still smiling, she was more than gazing. It could have been considered staring, but she was just suddenly awed, as she had on more than one occasion with this man.

“Marry me,” she blurted out suddenly, but even to her own ears it sounded earnest and intentional.
