He walked into the nearest turbolift, and after pausing briefly to hold the door for Vora, stated their destination.

The lift seemed to pause for a moment before deciding to move, but move it did. Upward through Port Mountain they went. It seemed like an especially long elevator trip.
“Have you been up here before?” he asked as the lights in the lift indicated they were still moving upward.

“No, actually. Typically we’re not here long enough to do more than visit the commercial decks. Except of course, the security wing. Been there,” Vora said with a slightly less full grin, but it was still there.

“This is the most phallic place in Star-Fleet,” he said quietly. “And I don’t just mean how it sits at the head of a unique geological feature. The staff besides the actual commanders would all grow a foot taller if they took sildenafil.”
Vora simply snorted and gave him an amused look for a moment before they reached their destination.
The doors parted, revealing a large room with a dramatic window that provided a stunning view of the station and the asteroid below. The opposing wall had a large depiction of the Black Fleet logo, followed by a status display of all ships in the area of operations. Starfleet personnel with yellow and red shirts were manning consoles and supervising all sorts of operations. The center of the room had three command chairs, two of which were empty. The third was occupied by a civilian, who was busy monitoring station operations.
It was a new space for her, so Zorell took a moment to scan the space and take it all in, filing the details away for probably no ever useful moment. After all, a command centre was a command centre. In the Federation they all had a very similar feel. Still, it would be there for reference if necessary.
Johann walked over to one of the Starfleet stations that was marked “Fleet Personnel Administration.” It was manned by a particularly inattentive Ensign with a red shirt, who seemed to be particularly invested in whatever was on his PADD that he was hunched over.
A moment noticeably passed.
“Hello, Ensign,” Johann said.
“Wha?” A startled look, which passed quickly back into non-chalance. “Oh. Civilians are on the other side.”
Vora raised her brows slightly. Well, they had just been at dinner, but unless you were staff here, she doubted most civilians even had direct access to Operations.
“We’re not civilians.” An understandable mistake, given their current clothing.
“You’re not?”
Johann rolled his “eyes”, and the Ensign then realized who the man in front of him was, knowing Captain Dvorak only by reputation.
“Oh sh- uh, sorry. Sir. What can I do for you, Captain?”
“I want to use some of my leave time in a few months. You can help me do that.”
“Uhh, sure, yeah. Here, let me pull up your thing and then you can pick some Stardates.” The Ensign finally put the PADD down and started typing on the console…

“And also for myself. Vora Zorell, Lieutenant Junior Grade” she chimed in, aware that picking their vacation dates ‘together’ like this was going to make a statement. Then again, she realized that Johann understood that and was okay with that being known. In its own strange way, this little detour in their evening was a rather bold statement about their relationship. Then again, they had agreed to be more open about it, so this was them doing just that.
