“You’re right. Let’s do it right now.“

“Now?” she asked.

“Now.”

Johann abruptly turned around, and started walking deeper into Black Rock instead of where the Europa was docked. His pace increased.

“Hey, where are you going?” Vora said with a bit of bewilderment.

“I don’t want any dumb computer communication crap to screw this up. We’ll do it right at the office right now.”

She laughed and moved to catch up with Johann, her long legs not taking too much effort to close the distance. “Hey, why waste a perfectly good opportunity, right?”

“Right.”

He walked into the nearest turbolift, and after pausing briefly to hold the door for Vora, stated their destination.

The lift seemed to pause for a moment before deciding to move, but move it did. Upward through Port Mountain they went. It seemed like an especially long elevator trip.

“Have you been up here before?” he asked as the lights in the lift indicated they were still moving upward.

“No, actually. Typically we’re not here long enough to do more than visit the commercial decks. Except of course, the security wing. Been there,” Vora said with a slightly less full grin, but it was still there.
