He had gotten through one slice and shot her an unamused look before continuing to slice his tomato. “Close enough. But so what? We missed a lot of parent-kid crap and we can’t do much about it. And yes, she’s, you know, being a parent. But that does’t make everything right and okay. She acts like I’m trying to punish her. I can’t help being pissed off about certain things,” he said, turning the slices on their side two at a time and beginning to make one centimetre ‘logs’.

Sienna joined the young man in slicing up tomatoes and let him speak. She could see how it was hard for him to accept her in the role of parent, when she hadn’t been there and how Vora might feel hurt when something didn’t go well and he lashed out. She nodded as he talked, cutting without thinking. She had been cooking for a long time.

“Like what kinds of things?” She asked casually.

Nox, CNS

“Just… stuff,” Jerrin said, finishing the dice on the two slices. He moved on to the next slices, focusing his attention s he didn’t get cut. “Stuff I can’t change and neither can she. Just still mad about it, which is stupid, but there you go.”
