Having been cleared for duty, Va’rek gave himself a methodical self-tour of both Warp Cores and all Engineering decks. He’d already familiarized himself with the ship spec, but seeing everything up close helped him to understand the way the systems operated. This culminated in his arrival at Lt. Commander Sullivan’s office. He pressed the chime and awaited clearance for entry, hands clasped behind his back, holding his tool kit.
