Carefully Avik approached the location determined by Abrams, her eyes narrowed upon the item dropped. She bent at the waist then gently spread out the contents that were upon the ground. She intended to organize the usual items from the day to day expectations. However, Avik didn’t touch anything as she examined them at a distance. She then glanced at Range for either guidance or permission before she contacted the CO about retrieving their target.

Her hand pulled up to then contact the bridge. =^=Avik to Dvorak, we have Pondbottom in custody.=^=

Range nodded at the Executive officer, and then flashed a good job kid smile at Cassidy, and a wink. It was an almost fatherly gesture of pride in his people.

“Gather anything she dropped it is evidence, Cass” Range said agreeing with Cass. As well for the first time he called her something other than Ensign or Abrams. The large man turned towards the Executive Officer.

Cassidy snapped off a quick salute with two fingers, which was both a sign of respect and also a bit cheeky.

“Commander based on Evidence I have collected I believe the Captain will also want to have a Conversation with the Governor about certain citizen’s living accommodations.” Range stated holding up the copy of the video the Security Director had provided him. Range was only mentioning it to be proactive, and not have to come back for the Governor, but understood it was the Executive Officers Call to make.

Avik looked at Range, her eyes spotted the nod and returned it. She said nothing about the less than professional behavior. It wasn’t the first time she had seen it and it wouldn’t be the last, especially since it hadn’t affected Officer Abrams’ performance. Catching Range’s mention about newly discovered evidence, she paused in thought. While Pondbottom was under arrest, she was still under the Governor’s responsibility and he was required to be informed about the charges. It seemed logical to, as humans put it, kill two birds with one stone.

“Due to recent orders to arrest Pondbottom, I believe proper protocol requires his presence. You have permission to proceed as you deem to be best,” Avik said giving Range his orders to retrieve the Governor.

Currently, the CO wasn’t expecting Range to beam up with them. This gave the CoS plenty of time to find and arrest the Governor. If the CO had issues, she was prepared to toss the Starfleet paragraphs about respecting other planetary cultures over a matter like this. Besides she had a feeling things were not as clean cut as they appeared. At least, on the surface. She readied herself to be beamed onboard with Pondbottom and her escort.

Range nodded and settled the phaser back in it’s holster. Turning towards the house he was off to find the Governor. This was going to be fun afternoon. Like to be a life changing one for many people. The large framed man had a thing for liberating the opressed, you might say it was his motto, something written in ink in blood along his spine.
