Avik’s sharp eyes caught the image of bright red settled in a crevice. Without thinking, her hands pushed off the ground and leap toward it. What little gavity there was, scattered the pebbles toward Lucius. His head turned in time to spot her movement. Without sparing a moment, he moved to her rope and seized it with his hands. He gage the rope a hard tug.

Avik felt it promptly become taunt. Her momentum shifted and caused her to hit the graveled surface roughly. She gritted her teeth to prevent from yelling in surprise as her eyes whipped back, Lucius’ figure bolted from behindd her into view.

His figure leapt into the rock then to another.

Slightly annoyed by his dirty tactics, she pushed herself up and off the place she landed. A small stain of red was left in her way while she rushed toward the flag’s location.

Lucius had a head start as he skipped along the crevices. His feet landed hard then bounced up again, leaping across wide sections at a time. Avik quickly covered the distance but knew she wasn’t about to make it there before him. A few pebbles caught her attention as she gripped a few up into her fist.

She aimed a rock right where Lucius’ foot was about to step. The rock shot from between her fingers and cracked across the surface, narrowly missing him. Lucius jerked his head down at the sound. This slowed him down enough for her to reach him and finally passby him.

“Hey!” He shouted.

His and her fingers reached for the flag. It was Lucius that managed to grab it first, ending the stimulation in the holodeck. Through she managed to get ahead of him, he was still faster.

“That was a good move,” He smiled at her then moved onto the next session.

“With the strenuous activities so far, is it logical to practice combative skills?” Avik asked, her tone slightly hinted her thoughts over it.

She thought it was unnecessary. Their physical conditions would become pushed past their daily expectations, leaving them both exhausted and under their peak status. Any results had no comparison value when placed against their prior practices. They never really done more than two activities at a time during his visits. Her brown eyes studied him carefully and noted the signs of exhaustion already washed over his older features.

Lucius wasn’t the young man he once was. The years had taken their toll and unlike Vulcans, they weren’t kind to him.

Her ex-counselor paused in thought then let out an exhale. He seemed relieved she had spoken out against the next task, even though he was willing.

“All right, I see your point. How about we head to the mess hall and we can catch up some more.”

She nodded, then commanded the program to shut down. When the door appeared she led him down the corridor into the turbolift where they would head to the next floor.
