This had Sienna’s smile fading a little as her thoughts fell back into her life… the one she was basically stealing from the other woman who’s dimension was now her home. “Yes. I forget it too. I get out of practice or I become too busy to dedicate time to playing.” For the last few weeks, she had been able to forget that she didn’t belong her and though it had been an illusion, it had been a nice one that had afforded her some peace.
Wanting to forget about her own pain, she changed the direction of their discussion by asking, “Who is Deacon?”

Vora turned to gaze at Nox and smiled. “One of my dearest friends. He’s the Starfleet Captain I tried to rob when his ship was visiting Tenra for a science project. He saw me at my lowest point and stuck around to see that I got help. If it weren’t for him, I’d probably still be a homeless addict, but more likely I’d be dead,” she said matter-of-factly.
“Äh.”Sienna replied, nodding her head in understanding.
“I got to see him again recently. It’s been so long and while we talk and send letters often, we don’t get to see each other in person,” the Tenraith said fondly.

“Friends can be very important to personal growth. Knowing you have someone who believes in you and supports you, even if it is from a far off place, enables you to take risks you would not normally take. They alleviate at least enough fear that is blocking your way and then the rest is up to you. I am glad you have that person for you. How does your son fare? Has he found his rhythm here?”

Moving to the piano, Vora all but scowled. “Teenagers…” she muttered. “It’s up and down. Enough said,” she added with a small laugh.
Tentatively, she began playing the opening sequence to a song that she had learned recently. It wasn’t ‘rock’, but it was forming a part of her new repertoire. “Would you believe I’ve either written or found a song that sums up every major relationship I’ve ever been in?”

Siennadye smiled a little and sat down to listen to Vora begin to play the song. The sound was beautiful, haunting. “I would believe that some people have the incredible talent of writing their life into music, even more astounding is writing something that they have never experienced into a piece of music that somehow touches us with something we too have never experienced. Either way, translating music to connect with the soul is a talent I only wish I could have. I just play it.”
