Taban wandered the halls of the Europa, working his way towards his next check-in appointment. It was all so different, so much more than the Baum. He did miss the familiarity of the old ship, but here, on the cutting edge of exploration and discovery - here was where he belonged.
He lingered a moment in the mess hall by a viewport, watching the stars streak by. He silently mouthed the famous words by Zefram Cochrane, “to boldly go where no one has gone before.” He took a breath, a slight smile working its way onto his face, and made his way to the counselor’s office.
