The adolescent watched Cassidy intently, rather fixated for a moment, though he quickly shifted his attention back to Range. “So… my Mom has to hear about this, doesn’t she?”

“What do you think?” Cass said softly.

Jerrin simply grimaced, knowing the answer.

Range looked at Jerrin, and then at Cass. That was a mess waiting to happen. But there was the other mess to deal with first. He had to tell Jerrin’s mother something, but not everything he did not think, the Ensign was not pressing the issue. “Okay kid your free to go, expect to hear that I have spoken to your mother, might be best if you told her first though. I do not think that we need to toss you in the brig at this time, but expect to hear from me in a few days about an idea I have to get you a bit more to do, and excitement.”

He simply nodded to Range.

Turning back towards Cass, “I will need you to stay for a few though Cass and decide how we are ummm, writing this up”

Abrams nodded but opted to wait till Jerrin left before she sat in the seat. She met the boy’s gaze for a moment and gave him a nod. “Talk to her, and sooner rather than later.”

“Yeah, I know,” Jerrin said, chewing on the inside of his cheek. With a sigh, he left the office.

Finally after Jerrin left, Cass took a seat. “I so do not want to be Vora today. She is going to be pissed off. But more than that I think this could be a major turning point for both of them.”
