The office in which Rear Admiral Jason Mcginnis was decorated rather lavishly. He had art work from various planets hanging on the walls of his office. Along the back wall, behind his desk were several plaques and commendations, including a framed copy of his promotion to Rear Admiral, which happened only two months ago. He was quite proud of that promotion.

The window was drapped with a species of vine found on a nearby Class L planet. He loved those vine, They hang down from the top of the window in brilliant blues and greens. Outside the window he could see the Europa, barely visible at this distance.

He sat with his feet resting on his desk. In his hand he held the latest security reports and on his desk were star fleets orders for the Europa. He had spent years trying to get Star fleet to spare him a deep space vessal, capable of exploring this frontier of federation space. With his promotion to Admiral, he was able to secure one.

He watched the Europa for a moment before he noticed that it had changed direction. Before he could do anything the comm chimed.

=^=Admiral Mcginnis, this is Lieutenant Kelly, Sir the Europa is reporting a security breach in their computer systems. They want to remain in stationary orbit while they investigate. =^=

He stood up and walked to the window and sighed. =^=Roger that. Keep me posted.=^= He thought against contacting the Europa right away. If this was like all the previous security breaches, it wouldn’t last long and wouldn’t end of being serious.

Lieutenant Kelly would be notified shortly that the Europa was requesting beam down coordinates for the Captain and the First Officer, as the Europa continued floating through space outside the Admiral’s window.

Mcginnis, who had returned to his desk to read the security report tapped his combadge. =^=Understood, Have them use the transporter on my deck and I want you to escort them to my office.=^=

=^=Aye sir=^= She replied. She sent the coordinates to the Europa and then proceeded to the transporter room to await their arrival.

As Avik materialized, the subtle tension in her figure melted away. While her mind could logically remind herself that transporting was perfectly safe, some primal instinct still became unsettled and tried to occasionally worm its way into her brain. She shook it loose then placed her hands behind her. Casually she stepped off the transporter platform then turned to face the CO. The XO waited for his lead to Admiral Mcginnis, her Vulcan ears posed for any approaching footsteps.
