Well before the 1900 meeting time, Vora stood in the holodeck and pondered the setting. She hadn’t received too many direct replies but she figured there might be the odd person who decide to just drop in. Time would tell how many people would actually properly join their ensemble or even what the group would ultimately become. All Vora knew is that she wanted an outlet again and music was her best one. It was also the chance to learn and grow some more.

Searching through the options, Vora had the computer generate a blend of two programs. On the surface, it was pretty much a standard sort of lounge with tables and chairs for guests and a low stage area. The colours were darker and the lights mid-level, creating ambience but not obstructing anyone’s vision. But the other program was that of a recording studio and she had the computer add the sound improving aspects of one to the space. It created a lounge that felt and sounded less cavernous and didn’t echo.

Moving tables around a bit, she created a sort of half circle on the stage where people could join in with their instruments. A baby grand piano sat on stage left of the chairs.

Siennadye walked in, dressed in casual knit dress in muted hues. In her hand was a long black case, expensive looking and she held it like it was incredibly valuable. She smiled warmly to Vora as she came in. “You really do pay attention to details.”She complimented as her eyes took in the setting created by Vora for the purpose of their ensemble. It was quite the set up, everything placed just so to give everyone the best advantage of the space.

Vora grinned as she adjusted the lightly beaded gold tunic that hung loosely over slim black trousers.. It was, as were most of the casual tops she wore, sleeveless, which was a much a practicality with some instruments as it was a point of vanity that she had yet to explain to anyone. It wasn’t that it was complicated, but it was rather personal and no one had ever asked and, like many things, Vora knew there was a different of perception. It just wasn’t a big deal.

“Well, I had sort of something in mind and this just sort of became the reality. I’m glad you like it.” Vora gestured. “Come on over and get settled. You can have the computer generate anything you need. In the meantime, I should tune my guitar even if I don’t end up needing it tonight.”

Vora moved over to the side of the stage where her guitar lay in its soft case. Unzipping it, she pulled out a glossy cheery wood steel stringed acoustic guitar and moved over to the chair by the piano. Turning her left ear towards the instrument as she plucked strings, it was clear Vora was adept enough to not need a tuner for the first note. The subsequent ones were of course relative to the first.

Sienna nodded and moved to a chair with a stand nearby. She opened the case and placed it on a small table to the side. Within was the gleaming crystal clear glass flute with etched complex flowers down the shaft. On closer inspection, one would see the flowers and its leaves were slightly tinted, darker in all the places where one would expect shadows and paler, almost uncolored in the places where one might expect a highlight. The overall effect was one of complex and heartfelt craftsmanship. Sienna held it like she definitely knew how.

“Acoustic guitars are excellent accompaniments to flutes though I believe you did mention a rather more rock based. Perhaps if that is what you hope for, I could try with the harp?”
