G’dday everyone,

Our President, Adam W has seen fit to accept my bribes and has named me Captain of the Connie as per this edict: https://www.star-fleet.com/core/command/command/notes/9318/ effective immediately. This was after the bribes I offered Krys and Jim (our FComm and AFComm) were also accepted in their consideration of my application. I want to thank Krys, Jim, Adam and Thomas for the faith and trust they’ve put in me as the Connie’s new captain. It is sad that Brian couldn’t remain as captain, but I’m looking forward to RPing with all of you and working with Liam our XO and Phil our GM to ensure that the Connie lives up to its moniker of comedy ship and that this is a fun rping environment for all of us.

My history in brief:
I joined STF as a cadet 12 years ago. Sometime after I graduated, I became XO of the Olympic and then some time after that, CO of the Draco. I later on became Lt Governor of Oed V, the Governor of Oed V, then CO of the USS Columbia (Academy), XO of other mainstream ships and then dropped to a DH or lower while I dealt with life. Following my latest STF break, I rejoined the club and the Connie a month or so before our switch to Exodus. Oh, and I’m also a qualified GM in STF, though I’m not currently GMing (though I do look forward to doing so for Jeremy at some point in the near future). Administration/Government wise, I’ve also previously been FComm or AFComm of most Fleets in the Club (not Infinite Fleet), MAC, Personnel Director, Internet Director. Vice Commandant and Fleet Liaison Office. I am currently the Mentor Coordinator in the Academy, so if any of you are mentors, or a DH in the Academy, you can expect to hear from me. Also, if any of you want to become a mentor, please contact me, and I’ll add you to the list. (And yes, that was a SHAMELESS PLUG!)

My expectations for the ship and all of you are simple:
* Have fun in your postings and your interactions with each other and the ship.
* Read all posts related to the main sim/mission and any side sims you are involved in.
* Remember to snip and sign off your posts.
* Side sims are fine, but please make sure you also focus on the main sim/mission.
* Ask if you are lost, don’t understand something or have nothing to do.
* Please keep to the posting limits. If you’re going to need a LOA, let us know. Once you go a few days over the posting limits, either Liam or myself will be in contact with you.
* And above all … keep in mind the first of these dot points “HAVE FUN”.

Congratulations! We got a new GM too. I feel like things are definitely going to get way more interesting:) I am looking forward to some interesting threads with the new Captain & GM.
