Sickbay: Pierce check-in
“She strode across the hall like a collossus, her swagger was obvious to anyone who…”
“Muh-om, you’re narrating. Again,” said the slightly taller, yet clearly younger redhead in drab gray civilian clothes to the other one, in a freshly pressed Starfleet operations uniform.
“I was? I thought I just sounded that cool!” Katherine gave a big thumbs up, causing her daughter Leticia to facepalm.
“Mom, you’re wearing a pie tin as a hat. Again. No one thinks that’s cool.”
“Oh please, you just are jealous of how shiny I rock! Well, don’t worry, lumpykins, someday you’ll get to go to the academy too…”
(“and get knocked up,” Leticia muttered under her breath)
”..and then you’ll make tons of new friends and see the universe in all its splendor! Maybe even meet the Queen of Saturn!”
“Funny. The splendor of the universe of this ship looks just like the splendor of the universe of that starbase corridor we were in just a few days ago.”
“HEY! Look! It’s sickbay! Time to check in! Now, you be good for mommy and don’t steal any of the medical supplies, okay?”
Without waiting for her half-tellarite daughter’s response, Katherine walked boldly into sickbay, took her pie-tin hat off and waived it with a bow and flourish. “Lieutenant Katty Pierce, mandatory for sickbay as report… wait… uh… can I start over again I think I got that backwards.”
