Petty Officer Peterson was a warp specialist–he had developed a rep for working well but not playing well with others. Through his time in service, Petty Officer Peterson had not been the best behaved member of Starfleet, but he did get the job done. This being his first day on the Constellation, Peterson reported directly to the Chief of Engineering. Walking into Engineering he looked around.

Emily looked up at the sound of the door opening. She was at one of the back consoles working on a upgrade to one of the systems “Can I help you?” She asked coming around the side of the engine and seeing the Petty Officer.

Seeing the officer rank, Peterson snapped to attention and replied, “Ma’am, I am Peterson, Simon, Petty Officer reporting for duty.” At the same time Peterson handed out a pad that had his orders on them.

After introducing himself to the CE, he decided to get to work. Petty Officer Peterson went over and found a team working and asked if he could join them.

“Sure thing mate!” The young human said with a British accent. “We are just going over a training simulator about the warp coil and what to do if it fails or goes out of line. We are taking turns and first trying it on our own and then secondly as a team so we all can learn. Want a go around?” He said with a smile.

“That sounds like fun, I will try not to blow up the ship…” responded Peterson.
