Du'Ralle & Ryalla Take a Walk

Ryalla sighed as she and her friend were finally alone as they wandered down the corridor. “Are you sure you’re ok?” she asked, still concerned about Du’Ralle’s condition. He smiled and nodded. “Nothing I can’t handle…” he added, with a slight waver in his voice. The incident had clearly rattled him a little but he knew that as a warrior he had to fight through the pain at all costs and not show weakness. As they turned another corner, Ryalla jumped as a bleep came from a PaDD in her pocket. She pulled it out and bit her lip nervously as she read the message. Du’Ralle didn’t often concern himself with the insignificant feelings of others but perhaps due to his injury or his encounter with his mother, the young Klingon ventured a question. “Are you alright, you seem distracted?” he asked.
Ryalla paused and gulped down the lump forming in her throat as she hastily shoved the PaDD back in her pocket, her antennae twitching. As she nervously fiddled with something in her other pocket, she turned to Du’Ralle with tears in her eyes as she spoke. “There’s something I have to do…I don’t want to…but I don’t have a choice…” she said quietly. Du’Ralle looked into her eyes, not really sure what was going on, but it seemed like she was in trouble. He thought for a moment, unsure of how to proceed but his instinct told him he couldn’t do nothing.
“Then let me help you?” he offered solemnly. Ryalla shook her head as she wiped the tears from her eyes. “No! I can’t ask you to do that!” she cried as she began to walk away. Du’Ralle grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her back to face him. “You’re not asking…I’m offering…” he said simply. “You and I are comrades in arms, we have fought side by side and it is my duty to stand by you.” he added, beaming with Klingon pride. Ryalla sniffed and shook her head again. “What I am about to do will get me into serious trouble, I don’t want you to be a part of it…I’ve got you into enough trouble already…” she whimpered.
Du’Ralle took her by the arm again with a mischievous grin. “I could do with a bit of trouble, I’ve been stuck in that sickbay for hours, besides, you can’t rid of me, I’m coming with you…” he said defiantly. Ryalla sighed and reluctantly nodded as they started walking again. “Ok, but you can’t say I didn’t warn you…” she added with a grateful smile as they approached their destination.
Ryalla furtively looked back and forth before diving through the door and beckoning Du’Ralle to follow. They immediately pressed up against the bulkhead as the doors closed and they checked there was no one around. Creeping round the edge of the room, Ryalla whispered to her friend. “I think we’re alone, but lets hurry up, if we get caught in here we’ll be in the brig…”
As they neared their target, Ryalla frantically pulled Du’Ralle through an open hatch and quickly set about her mission.

Hearing a noise in the background, Ryalla froze and hastily put a hand over Du’Ralle’s mouth. She quickly dragged him out of the way and hid, indicating at him to remain silent.
