During his absence, a new captain had been appointed and he wanted to make a good first impression. So he brought a padd with him in addition to his transfer papers. Scratching his nose, Raymond waited for admittance. : - Ens Raymond nose Science : Gerald heard the chime and put down his copy of an old earth biography on the Marquis de Lafayette and said, “Come in come in!” Gerald stood and straightened his uniform as he approached the door to greet the visitor properly. : – Gerald Hopkins, CO

Was it the nose of which Gerald would take the most notice? It was certainly possible, as the nose today was in the shape of a ferengi’s nose, with its ridges and over sized nature in comparison to the rest of Raymond’s head. However it was clearly a fake nose, as the skin didn’t match colour, and the faint line of the string that was used to hold it in place could be seen.

Perhaps it was the ears. his ears today looked like those of giraffes, patterned and everything. He even had a pair of ossicones (OOC: Those two little tufts at the top of the giraffe’s head) on top of his head. As with the nose, it was clear that the ears and ossicones were fake - the pattern of them didn’t extend to the rest of his body, they looked furry and it wasn’t very hard to pick up the headband that attached them to his head. “You are the captain, I presume?” Raymond asked, “I am your new Scientist, my name is written as Raymond Luxury-Yacht, and pronounced Throat Warbler-Mangrove. I am pleased to return to the Constellation and give you and the crew my expertise in nasal, throat and ear care.” Raymond handed over his padd, that indeed had Raymond Luxury-Yacht on it, and the first line was ‘Sorry Gerald - Captain Fennessy, USS Freeman’.
