Attention everyone,

Effective immediately, I am stepping down as CO of the Constellation.

I am struggling with work pressures, and with my mental health. It has gotten to a bad stage for me, and I can’t put my head around COing and managing a ship at the moment and you all deserve someone better than I’m able to be at the moment. I’m sorry, I feel that I’ve let you all down, and I think the ship and all of you need someone who can give it and you the time and effort it and you need.

I trust you all have a fun holiday period, whether you celebrate Christmas or something else.

Hugs, Russ! I am sorry Russ that this just isn’t the time for you to have a ship but more concerned that you get the help you need without this added pressure. We love you immensely, you crazy Tribble:)

To the Connie crew, I as FComm of the Infinite Fleet am aware of the situation and will be posting a post in Command to open the CO spot. I have already spoken with Liam Schoep and he will continue to guide you.

Russ, you did a great job, and I really enjoyed having you as oh Captain my Captain! Don’t ever feel that you have let us down, as life can hit all of us with curveballs, and even the strongest of us can have problems dealing with them.

For everyone else, let’s try to keep things moving in terms of posting. I know that we have let things lull a bit with everything happening, but I think that we should raise our eyes towards tomorrow and continue on in the memory of those we have lost. After all, what is Star Trek but a way for us to believe that we can get past the struggles of the present and work towards a better tomorrow?
