“Ofcourse not, except in a professional capacity, ofcourse,” Harry replied, slightly hurt at the suggestion, “Besides… Women don’t interest me in that way.”

Harry then wonderred if Pierece would understand what he was telling her or not.

“OK, hold still,” he said as he took out a tricorder which began nhumming and whislting as it took readings and began entering them into Pierce’s medical file…

Kat tried to hold still, but she couldn’t resist tilting her head to the side. “What kind of profession would require you to wear a skirt, Doc?”

-Kat

Pierce clearly did not understand what he had said.

“Never mind,” he said, “do you have any allergies or existing medical conditions that are not recorded in your file?”

-Harry

She crunched her nose. “I’m pretty allergic to cheese. Pretty much any cheese. Lets see…” She tapped her forehead lightly. “Oh, I have that, what do you call it, HDTV? No that’s not it. ACDC? No that’s not it either.” Then she brightened. “Oh! You like… well, that’s fine, mom always told me never marry a doctor anyway! Or was that, never take her to a doctor? Hmm…”

Harry looked at Pierce’s medical record to check whether her condition & allergy were noted.

“Precisely,” Harry replied with a smile in response to Pierce’s light bulb moment.

“So do you take any medication for your ADHD?” Harry asked.

-Harry

“That’s the one! No, I used to when I was little, but it makes my brain all fuzzy when I take it.” Her expression turned serious. “I know, I know, some people sometimes think I’m fuzzy anyway, but it’s really bad when I’m on those medicines, I’m better without it. Like, way better. My brain’s always going on different tracks and sometimes the train gets there without a stop being announced by the pilot but it does land at the parking spot… well you know what I mean!”

“I do,” Harry replied as he checked her medical record to see if she should be taking any meds.
