Posted by… suppressed (5) by the Post Ghost! 👻She stared, as things seemed to be quiet, almost too quiet, at her words. She glanced back up at the medical staff. “Ooooh! You were waiting for me to start over! That’s ok, Katty doesn’t mind! I’m here to have you look at my body! … wait that doesn’t sound right either!”
IC: “You’re right, it doesn’t,” the young red-haired ensign replied, “But thankfully I know what you mean”
The young doctor smiled at the strange officer. He was fast learning that Starfleet out in real space was very, VERY differrent to the academy. The people were much crazier. Perhaps it was an undocumented effect of longterm exposure to artificial gravity.
“Just don’t say those words to the Chief Nasal Officer, or anywhere down on the lower decks,” He offered…
“Oh good!” Pierce hopped onto a biobed, knowing the routine. “Then maybe you can explain it to me!” Then she cocked her head. “Are there bad people on the lower decks? Someone should do something about that!”
“Well no, but there are people who may interpret it as…” Harry began. He moved his hands in a nervious circular motion, “… A… Umm… sexual advance, shall we say?”
-Harry
Pierce nodded. “Right, right, I know that, but I meant what I should have said. And who I should be careful of because they’re down below. Is it because they’re looking up our uniforms, that’s silly we don’t usually wear skirts on duty! Well, I don’t anyway. Do you?”
-Pierce
“Ofcourse not, except in a professional capacity, ofcourse,” Harry replied, slightly hurt at the suggestion, “Besides… Women don’t interest me in that way.”
Harry then wonderred if Pierece would understand what he was telling her or not.
“OK, hold still,” he said as he took out a tricorder which began nhumming and whislting as it took readings and began entering them into Pierce’s medical file…
-Harry
Kat tried to hold still, but she couldn’t resist tilting her head to the side. “What kind of profession would require you to wear a skirt, Doc?”
-Kat
Pierce clearly did not understand what he had said.
“Never mind,” he said, “do you have any allergies or existing medical conditions that are not recorded in your file?”
-Harry
She crunched her nose. “I’m pretty allergic to cheese. Pretty much any cheese. Lets see…” She tapped her forehead lightly. “Oh, I have that, what do you call it, HDTV? No that’s not it. ACDC? No that’s not it either.” Then she brightened. “Oh! You like… well, that’s fine, mom always told me never marry a doctor anyway! Or was that, never take her to a doctor? Hmm…”
